REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is primarily responsible for driving new business software sales, and implementation and training services. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for outbound calling initiatives set forth by Sales & Marketing, responding to inbound web activity and attending annual industry events. 

Administratively the Regional Sales Manager reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing. 

Time spent for assigned duties and responsibilities are estimated as follows: 

  • Opportunity Management 30% 
  • Inbound Activity 10% 
  • Outbound Activity 40% 
  • Industry Events 10% 
  • Administrative Responsibilities 10%

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Management – active engagement in a sales pipeline including; performing discovery calls, live demonstrations, quote generation, quote reviews and closing calls. It is required that a Regional Sales Manager understand their pipeline and be prepared to report on the pipeline on a monthly basis. 
  • Inbound Activity – daily review and follow up on web activity from multiple lead management solutions. 
  • Outbound Activity – manage daily task follow up on prospects, perform outbound cold calling in conjunction with Marketing email campaigns, and appointment scheduling for attendance at industry events. Proactively work sales qualified leads (SQL’s) to opportunities and close. 
  • Industry Events – travel and attendance at annual industry events with a focus on networking and driving new business opportunities. 
  • Administrative Responsibilities – monthly administration of a sales pipeline, including preparation for pipeline review, expense reporting, quote generation, sales meetings and other internal related training/meetings. 
  • Action Selling – learn and execute Action Selling principals.

Qualifications and Skillsets

  • At least three to five years of proven sales experience
  • Prior experience using a sales method model preferred (Action Selling preferred)
  • Prior experience in distribution or technology sales preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills
  • Some Business acumen
  • Strong time management skills
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM), salesforce automation (SFA), or contact management applications preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel at least 30%, including international travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or other related field preferred

SENIOR ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT

The Senior Enterprise Architect is a technical leader and subject matter expert on the architecture and development of solutions leveraging current development technologies in a Service-Oriented architecture (SOA) design on a SaaS distribution model. This role is responsible for demonstrating expert knowledge in the design and architecture of complex systems following standards and industry best practices while taking into consideration performance, scalability, security, and environmental constraints. Opportunities will be available to work independently to define the technical strategy and to guide and educate the software development teams in building systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Enterprise Architect – The overall responsibility and accountability of this position includes and is not limited to the following duties:

  • Strategy – Produces and maintains system architecture vision, principles and organizational standards.
  • System Design – Ability to architect systems that meet enterprise goals for quality, maintainability, stability and scalability.
  • Collaboration – Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The position requires frequent communication with colleagues and partners in several different geographic locations and time zones.
  • Performance – Recommend, design, and architect solutions that demonstrate speed, scalability, and optimized software solutions.
  • Communication – Act as technology evangelist for the company, presenting strategy and architecture overviews. Ability to surface and participate in discussions regarding benefits, risks, and impact analysis on proposed solutions for larger and complex feature sets across all customers.
  • Problem Solving – Provide resolution and/or workarounds for advanced and architectural software issues.
  • Knowledge – Passion for maintaining knowledge of current technology to advise on roadmap as we evolve architecture and solution functionality. Experienced with working with several layers or aspects of multiple applications.
  • Scheduling – Ability to decompose, provide estimates, and meet delivery dates for larger and highly complex epics and projects which includes architectural changes. Excellent time management skills.
  • Documentation – Documentation of architecture, specifications, design, and diagrams for larger and complex feature sets.
  • Mentoring – History of leading and mentoring engineers across multiple project teams regarding architecture and best practices. Ability to exert technical influence on peers.
  • Recruiting – Capable of contributing to resources needed to support recruiting efforts. Participates in hiring processes with interviews.

Qualifications and Skillsets

Required, Broad knowledge of:

  • History and background of enterprise architecture
  • Research evolution and potential future of enterprise architecture.
  • Theory and concepts of enterprise architecture - both technology and management
  • Frameworks
  • Related Activities like governance and maturity management
  • Understands the current architectural tools, industry standards and development techniques and have demonstrated experience in producing architectural models in these tools

Required, Deep knowledge of at least one of the following, and a working knowledge of the remaining areas:

  • Service-Oriented architecture (SOA), web services, SaaS distribution model, Microservices, API development, message brokers, service buses, with consideration for performance, scalability, security, and environmental constraints

  • Application architecture (at lower levels of detail this is software architecture)

SOLUTION CONSULTING SPECIALIST

The Solution Consulting Specialist is primarily responsible for demonstrating our software platform to prospects and existing customers. Configuring the software platform and flow of the demo to confirm the solution can meet and exceed the business requirements provided by the prospect / customer. The Solution Consulting Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring demo environments are current and readily available.

Administratively the Solution Consulting Specialist reports to the VP of Sales. 

Time spent for assigned duties and responsibilities are estimated as follows:

  • Demo environment maintenance 20%
  • Performing Demos 25%
  • Preparing for Demos 30%

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demo environment maintenance – Have technology background (SQL server, Web services, API, etc.) to ensure demo environment(s) are patched to current release level and working with hosting to ensure proper performance, backups, usage, etc.
  • Preparing for Demos – active engagement in sales opportunities including participating in discovery calls, understanding the key success criteria as provided by the prospect / customer and being able to translate these business needs into the software platform through configuration, data entry and workflow management. Asking questions to draw out “all” business needs and ensure complete understanding of same
  • Performing Demos – Scheduling time with prospect / customer and internal team to demonstrate the software platform that meets the business requirements previously communicated. Adept in real time adjustments to answer questions, show different functions, create solutions and more. The goal is ensuring the prospect / customer is confident in the proposed solution
  • Industry events and user conference – Attends conferences as scheduled and be prepared to show canned demos to those attending. Engage in conversation and as possible translate conversation into software solution. Capture prospect / customer information for follow up after event
  • Administrative Responsibilities – monthly administration of a sales pipeline, including preparation for pipeline review, expense reporting, quote generation, sales meetings and other internal related training / meetings.
