MITS Unveils Business Integration Program to Transform Distributor Analytics Adoption

Partners with HVAC business and technology expert to deliver integration services

SEATTLE, WA, December 6, 2015 - MITS, the leading provider of reporting and business intelligence solutions for distributors, today announced the general availability of the MITS Business Integration Program, designed to expand MITS’ focus on helping distributors drive adoption and integration of analytics across their operation. The new program offers three service tiers to help distributors understand what their data means and how to apply it to daily business decisions.

"Although analytics software has significantly advanced in the last two decades, the ability for many distribution companies to integrate it into their business has not,” said Gary Owen, president of MITS. “Through 19 years of experience helping distributors meet their business intelligence needs, we’ve seen time and again that those companies that successfully implement analytics across their operation achieve the greatest ROI. We have put all of the best practices learned over the years into the MITS Business Integration Program so that any company—small or large—can learn to use their business data to make better decisions at every level of their operation."

To deliver the Business Integration Program services, MITS has partnered with Andy Weith of ASW Global Consulting, a consulting firm launched in 2007 to perform business process reviews and gap analysis for distributors. Andy has implemented and supported a wide range of software—covering Infor SX.e, TWL, MITS Distributor Analytics, ecommerce, help desk, and more—for dozens of distribution companies, including Crescent Parts & Equipment, a St. Louis, MO-based HVACR distributor.

“While working with Crescent Parts & Equipment, I learned that ease of use alone is not enough to drive the adoption of an analytics solution as powerful as MITS,” said Andy Weith of ASW Global Consulting. “HVAC distributors often have tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of parts and thousands of customers. With such a volume of data, it is no surprise that users find it hard to identify purpose in such a massive data set. We needed to show users what to look for, why they need to review trends or anomalies, and ultimately what to do with this information. The workshop style training we created at Crescent for sales reps and branch managers taught them how to successfully explore the 'why' of their data.”

The MITS Business Integration Program service levels range from a review of performance data with company executives, to development of a reporting and analytics roll-out plan, and a comprehensive online or on-site analytics adoption session.
